Blog tinkering

I've changed the header picture here to include our newest addition. I was a bit torn between the one I've put up, which shows all of us, and this one of just the children, which I also like
Maybe I'll change the header from time to time. I've seen a blog which has a photo header which changes every time the page is refreshed. I wonder if Blogger allows for something like that. Anyone know?

(Edited to add: Here's the old header which was taken just after Honor was born. And another one taken then of all the children together. What a difference two years makes!)

  2. You all look wonderful! It is amazing what a difference two years makes with kids. Seeing how much your big boys changed makes me wonder what my two pre-teens will look like in two years!

  3. SUCH great pics! Your boys are so handsome, I can't believe how grown up they all look. And the little girls are just precious. I also want to know what your secret is, you look fab!

We will be coming to the UK hopefully the last 2 weeks of April. Would love to meet up with you if you are free!

  4. Good Morning Clare
I don't know about the changing heading photos but I do know that I love the one you have at present. You have a lovely family.
I enjoyed your post on the Chair of Peter. I haven't seen it either but then, unlike you, I have never been to Rome! My next door neighbour went to Rome last year and she brought me back a beautiful book of pictures of the Vatican. It is a gorgeous book and I have at least seen pictures of what I may or may not get to see in the flesh. Maybe one day, please God. Thanks for a good blog site and God bless you and your lovely family.

  5. Clare, you have a beautiful family! Thank you so much for sharing. I love this blog and find such inspiration in it. Especially as I continue my "journey" towards the Catholic Church. Thank you so much for sharing your world.

  7. Lovely pictures! I really like the look of the family standing in what appears to be a white room with no visible corners/joints. Did you have the photos taken in a studio?

  8. Hi Shannon, the pics were taken by a lady up the road from us who has a studio in her house. She has part of the room painted white and she takes most of the portraits there.
Getting a good pic of all 8 0f us at the same time is no mean feat and it had it's trying moments. When Honor was happy, Marie-Aibhlinn needed a feed. And then the younger boys got restless waiting.
I felt I had to keep everyone good humoured, and the relentless chirpiness was exhausting. I fell into bed with the baby as soon as we got home!

  10. Hi Clare
Just want to ask, where are your followers? I'd like to join but I can't find them. Am I missing something? Is it my age, perhaps? God bless you.

  11. Hi Breadgirl
Hmm, no idea what happened to my followers. I think I might have disabled something by mistake. I've found them and put them back on. I don't use them because I'm actually not sure how they work. I follow the blogs I read in a reader ( Google )
What is the advantage of using 'followers'?

  12. Hiya Clare! Thanks for the roadmap to find you from your HSB blog! LOL!

I was wondering what you were up to. I was actually thinking of you last week when I heard the 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks' song 'Portabello road' and remembered our visit there some years ago when we met up at a homeschool resource day in London.

I am soooo happy for you about your newest arrival! Congratulations and you have a truely beautiful family! I love the picture at the top.

I'll add you to my google reader so I can keep track of you this time. *grin* Nice to be in touch! Take care - Deedee

  13. I hope you don't think this sounds creepy, but your two oldest sons are really, really handsome. It sounds kinda silly to say it like that, and I'm not sure I've ever described someone (esp. not high school aged boys!) that way before, but I can think of no other way to say it.

    You've got a beautiful family!

  14. I've just found your blog via Fr John Boyle at Caritas in Veritate.

What a beautiful family and super photos.

I shall definitely be popping by again to see what you're up to.
