Especially like the term "serendipitous Google" which I have made a note of and will be using at every possible juncture. <br /><br />What particularly comes across is just how awesome the Mass actually is and how sad it is that you had to re-discover that on your own! I remember reading a letter St. Iraeneus (Bishop of Lyon in the 2nd century), wrote to a fellow student where he speaks about their teacher, Polycarp, "who broke bread with John, the Apostle of Our Lord". It struck me what an incredible chain of history we share at Mass. The Eucharist has been celebrated every single Sunday throughout all the generations since He said "Take this, eat, this is my body, do this in memory of me".
